Group visits

We welcome guided tour groups of up to 20 visitors when accompanied by a Blue Badge Tourist Guide. Blue Badge Tourist Guides offer specialist group tours in more than 30 languages and will charge a separate fee. To book a Blue Badge Tourist Guide, visit Guide London or the British Guild of Tourist Guides.

Blue Badge Guide Tour Groups

All groups led by Blue Badge Guides must purchase their group ticket through our portal in order to be allocated with a pre-determined time slot. 

Please note private groups must consist of one Blue Badge Guide per 20 people, otherwise entry will be refused on the day.

Group entrance and timings

The group entrance is located in the cloisters from:
9:30am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 3:00pm on weekdays
9:00am to 2:30pm on Saturdays

FAQs

All private groups must book in advance. However, if you would like to book a school group, please visit Schools. 

You can request a B2B Account by filling in this form. Once your account has been approved, you can visit the Groups’ Portal and purchase your group tickets here.

Group admission prices for day visits apply to groups of up to 20 people coming with a private Blue Badge Guide. Groups of up to six can purchase online tickets from the official Abbey website and still make use of the Group Entrance.

No. Only authorised Blue Badge Guides are permitted to guide in the Abbey, and group tickets can only be used if a Blue Badge Guide is leading the group.

Our group ratio is one Blue Badge Guide per maximum of 20 people. We are unable to permit entry to any one group that is larger than 20 people with only one Blue Badge Guide. 

Online group tickets are valid only for the date and time specified. Each ticket contains a unique barcode. Once scanned the online ticket has been redeemed and cannot be reused. Please note that all tickets are single entry only as capacity is strictly controlled and group tickets can only be used if a Blue Badge Guide is leading the group.

London Passes and vouchers cannot be used at the group entrance. However, you can use them at our visitor entrance and make use of free multimedia guides.

No. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable once purchased. We are under no obligation to issue refunds where an online ticket has been cancelled by you.
