President of Afghanistan visits Abbey

His Excellency Hamid Karzai GCMG, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, visited Westminster Abbey and laid a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior on Wednesday 30th October 2013.
The President was welcomed by the Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr John Hall, who escorted the President on a short tour of the Abbey and invited him to sign the Distinguished Visitors’ Book.
