Handel Jephtha performed by the Westminster Abbey Choir and St James
Friday, 18th June 2004
Handel's last oratorio, Jephtha, written in 1751 as the composer's health was failing was both moving and magnificent against the background of the Nave of Westminster Abbey.
Performed by Westminster Abbey Choir and St James's Baroque under the direction of James O'Donnell, the concert on Friday 18th June was one of the highlights of this year's Lufthansa Festival of Baroque music.
