Festival of Commemoration panel discussion

A panel discussion in the Great Hall of Westminster School on the theme ‘Sisters in hope of the Resurrection’ took place on Tuesday 18th November.

On the panel were:

Lady Antonia Fraser. Historian and author. Lady Antonia is currently working on a biography of Elizabeth I.

Sir Roy Strong. Historian, writer and broadcaster. Former Director of the National Portrait Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Sir Roy has written extensively on Tudor portraiture and pageantry.

‘Sisters…’
How did these two women cope with their role at the centre of national life in a turbulent era?
What was the character of the half-sisters and how did they view each other?

The debate was chaired by The Revd Dr Nicholas Sagovksy, Canon Theologian, Westminster Abbey.
