60th anniversary of the end of World War II

A Service of Prayer and Thanksgiving to mark 60 years since the end of the Second World War was held at Westminster Abbey on Sunday 10th July 2005.
This service is part of a series of events happening across the country. At 5.00pm on July 10th the bells of Westminster Abbey led churches throughout the country in a celebratory peal.
