Gallery Late: Conserving Craft
Visit the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries in Westminster Abbey after hours and hear Abbey conservators talk about their work preserving historic examples of craftsmanship for posterity.
Within the grand setting of Westminster Abbey’s beautiful 13th century triforium you can find the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries. The Galleries are filled with many of the Abbey’s greatest treasures, all of which offer striking examples of historic craftsmanship.
At this late opening event, take time to explore the collections and hear from our conservation team about the work that they do to stabilise and preserve the historic objects on display.
Across the evening there will be three opportunities to hear our conservators talk about their work preserving the painted effigies, wax effigies and Romanesque stone fragments.
This event is part of London Craft Week.

We recommend looking at the Visit us pages to plan a visit during opening hours.
Age suitability
This event is for adults and young people over the age of 16, please see our family pages for information and events to explore this theme as a family.
