Overview

Introduce the topic of pilgrimages for Christians to your students in this overview lesson, which is designed to last for one hour. This KS4 lesson investigates the reasons why Christians may choose to go on pilgrimage, the Biblical influences on pilgrimages sites, the distinction between Protestant and Catholic views on pilgrimages and the impact on individuals and communities. Aligned to the GCSE specifications, the lesson culminates with a series of knowledge-testing questions and practice GCSE evaluation question.
