Explore the idea of martyrdom in your class with this peer-to-peer video, in which Barney explains the life and legacy of Janani Luwum, one of the Modern Martyrs statues above the West Door of Westminster Abbey. The accompanying document includes reflection tasks, discussion points, essay questions and information about how to respond creatively to the modern martyrs.

This video was created as part of a 2022 project in which participants were tasked with producing a creative response to the Modern Martyrs. Please note that all opinions are of the individuals speaking and do not represent the views of Westminster Abbey.
