Overview
Delve into the history of coronation ceremonies by examining historical sources from the last 1,000 years. This KS3 lesson, designed to last for one hour, will help students to consider the creation of the coronation ceremony and how the ceremony has evolved over time. Students will then complete a research activity about one of the 38 monarchs who have been crowned at Westminster Abbey since 1066.
