Examining royal funerals

Overview
In this lesson, designed to last for one hour, KS3 pupils will use historical sources to help them to understand royal funerals of the past, in light of the news of Queen Elizabeth II’s death. Pupils will consider change and continuity of royal funerals, as well as the difference between State and Ceremonial funerals. This lesson concludes with a personal experience writing activity.
