  Abbot

  Laurence of Durham was Abbot of Westminster from about 1158. His effigy can still be seen in the south cloister of the Abbey.

  Lt. Colonel Sir John Ogle was buried in the Abbey on 17th March 1640. He was the fifth son of Thomas and his wife Jane.

  Colonel Thomas Panton, reformed gambler, is buried in a vault in the chapel of St John the Baptist in Westminster Abbey.

  Henry Grattan, a statesman and defender of the rights of Ireland, was buried next to Charles James Fox in the north transept of Westminster Abbey.

  On a pillar in the north ambulatory of Westminster Abbey is a marble tablet to the memory of Lieutenant General Sir James Oughton.

  In the west aisle of the north transept is a monument to Lt. General Joshua Guest. The monument was designed by Sir Robert Taylor.

  Cyril Norton Newall, 1st Baron Newall, Air Chief Marshal of the Royal Air Force, is remembered in the RAF chapel in Westminster Abbey.

  In the chapel of St Andrew is a marble monument to brothers Benjamin and Richard Forbes. This was originally in St John the Evangelist's chapel.

  In the west cloister of Westminster Abbey is a memorial, with a braille version of the inscription, for Ian Fraser, Baron Fraser of Lonsdale. Blinded at the battle of the Somme he devoted his life to the welfare of visually impaired people.

  A memorial to social reformer Octavia Hill was unveiled in the centre part of the nave on 22nd October 2012 by Simon Jenkins.

• William Aglionby

  William Aglionby was buried in the east cloister but his gravestone has now worn away. His grave was near the wall monument to Edmund Godfrey.

• Warwick Calmady

  Warwick Calmady was buried on 29th January 1788 in the south cloister of Westminster Abbey. His gravestone has now worn away.

• John Parsons

  Musician and Composer

  John Parsons, organist and composer, is buried in the cloisters. He was the Abbey's Master of Choristers from 1613-1623, and Organist from 1621.

• Smalbroke Family

  In the south cloister of Westminster Abbey is the grave of three members of the Smalbroke family: Catherine Smalbroke, William Smalbroke and Richard Smalbroke.

• Peregrine Bertie

  On the north west wall of St Margaret's church Westminster is a memorial to Peregrine Bertie who died in 1721 and his wife Rachel.
