  Dr Walter Jones, Sub Dean of Westminster, was buried near his seat in the Quire on 15th July 1672 but he had no marker.

  John Osbaldeston was buried in the south transept of Westminster Abbey, not far from the grave of a fellow royal servant Thomas Chiffinch.

  William Tucker, priest and musician, was buried in the cloisters. He was an Abbey Minor Canon and Lay Vicar from 1661 until his death.

  On the wall of the north cloister of Westminster Abbey is a small white marble memorial to Frances (Smith) wife of Captain Edmund Meyrick.

  On the north west pillar in St Margaret's church Westminster is a cartouche to Sarah English. This has been attributed to sculptor Robert Hartshorne (II).

  Lt. General Charles Sibourg or Sybourg was buried in the east cloister of Westminster Abbey but has no marker or memorial.

  John Gavan and his wife Susan are buried in the north cloister of Westminster Abbey but their stone is no longer readable.

  On the north wall of St Margaret's Church is a cartouche to John Bull, an eminent rich merchant (according to his entry in the register).

• George Wade

  Soldier

  Field Marshal George Wade, famous for roads he built in Scotland, was buried in the centre aisle of the nave. His monument is by Roubiliac.

• Elizabeth II

  Queen Elizabeth II's coronation was held at Westminster Abbey on 2nd June 1953. Her wedding to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, took place in 1947. Her funeral was held on 19th September 2022.

  Musician and Composer

  William Heather (or Heyther), composer and singer, was buried in the south transept on 1st August 1627 but had no marker until 1926.

• William Burnaby

  In the centre part of the south transept is a gravestone to William Burnaby, dramatist. The Reform'd Wife was staged at Drury Lane in 1700.

  Alexander Baker, Master of the Barber-Surgeons' Company, was buried in the north ambulatory of Westminster Abbey on 2nd October 1635. But he has no monument.

• Sir James Wright

  Diplomat

  On 28th November 1785 Sir James Wright was buried in the north transept of Westminster Abbey. The inscription on his gravestone is now rather faint.

  Priest/Minister

  Dr Richard Lucas is buried in the south transept. In 1677 he published the first of many works, Practical Christianity, and was a noted preacher.

• Bartholomew Dodington

  Bartholomew Dodington, Greek scholar, was buried in the north transept. His grave is no longer marked but the inscription was recorded by William Camden.

• Unknown Warrior

  At the west end of the Nave is the grave of the Unknown Warrior, whose body was brought from France to be buried in 1920.
