Statesman
John Pym, politician in the time of Cromwell, died in 1643. He was buried in Westminster Abbey but his remains were exhumed at the Restoration.

The Rank Group
Philanthropist
The Rank Group were generous benefactors to the restoration of the Lady Chapel at Westminster Abbey in 1992-1995. A decorated metal plaque records the name.

In the nave of Westminster Abbey is displayed the Womens' Voluntary Service (WVS) roll of honour for those who died during the Second World War.

New Minor Canon appointed

The Reverend Michael Macey has been appointed Minor Canon of Westminster, to succeed the Reverend Deiniol Morgan, who leaves the Abbey on 14th October having accepted a full-time commission in the Royal Army Chaplains’ Department.

Alan Campbell Don K.C.V.O. was Dean of Westminster from 1946 to 1959 and his ashes are buried in the nave. He was born in Scotland.
