• George, John, Arabella and Henrietta Churchill

  Politician, Soldier and Sailor

  Admiral George Churchill was buried in the nave of Westminster Abbey and has a large monument. His sister Arabella is also buried. John Churchill Duke of Marlborough was briefly buried here then moved to Blenheim Palace.

• Princess Margaret, daughter of George VI

  Princess Margaret was the second daughter of King George VI and the sister of Queen Elizabeth II. She married at Westminster Abbey in 1960.

  A memorial for George Green, mathematician and physicist, was unveiled in the nave in July 1993, adjoining the graves of Isaac Newton and Lord Kelvin.

  Field Marshal George Wade, famous for roads he built in Scotland, was buried in the centre aisle of the nave. His monument is by Roubiliac.

  In the centre aisle of the nave, near the west door, is a stone commemorating the temporary burial of George Peabody, American merchant and philanthropist.

  George Fascet, Abbot of Westminster, is buried in St John the Baptist's chapel. His altar tomb of stone shows his coat of arms.

  In the north west tower chapel in the nave is a white and coloured marble memorial to Lt. Colonel the Honorable George Lake.

  George Whicher is buried in the east cloister with a tablet on the wall. He endowed some almshouses in Westminster.

  Statesman George Tierney has a white marble memorial in the north west tower chapel in the nave of Westminster Abbey. This was erected in 1832.
