John Church, composer, was buried in the south cloister of Westminster Abbey on 10th January 1741. The Precentor called him "very worthy and honest".

John Earle was Dean of Westminster from 1660-1662 but he has no monument in Westminster Abbey and he is buried at Merton College chapel, Oxford.

Vice-Admiral John Baker died on 10th November 1716 at Port Mahon in Minorca and his body was returned to Westminster Abbey for burial.

John was crowned in Westminster Abbey on 27th May 1199. It seems he displayed "unseemly levity" during the ceremony and left before receiving the Sacrament.
