  The Vacher family of Westminster gave both the brass eagle lectern and the carved and painted pulpit in St Margaret's church Westminster.

  Musician and Composer

  George Frederic Handel, famous composer, is buried in the south transept. He wrote four anthems for the coronation of George II including 'Zadok the Priest'.

  Lady Arbella Stuart, cousin to James VI of Scotland and I of England, lies in a vault beneath the south aisle of Henry VII's chapel.

  Dr Nathaniel Rogers, physician, presented a small stained glass window to Westminster Abbey. The window is in the east aisle of the south transept.

• Barbara Simpson

  The grave of Barbara Simpson is in the south transept of Westminster Abbey, adjoining the modern memorial stones to John Masefield and W.H. Auden.

• Anne Hutten & Alice Corbett

  Anne Hutten or Hutton was buried in Westminster Abbey in May or June 1644. Her daughter Alice who died of smallpox was buried in 1628.

  Sailors marked the 300th anniversary of the death of the Royal Navy hero Sir Cloudesley Shovell with a wreathlaying ceremony conducted by Canon Nicholas Sagovsky at Admiral Shovell’s grave in the Abbey’s south choir aisle this week.
