Thomas Babington (Macaulay), 1st Baron Macaulay, historian and poet, was buried at the foot of Joseph Addison's statue in Poets' Corner on 9th January 1860.

A memorial for former Prime Minister Harold Wilson (Lord Wilson of Reivaulx) K.G., F.R.S. was dedicated at the west end of the nave in 2013.
