Musician and Composer
On 26th November 1695 Purcell was buried in the north aisle of the choir. This was where the organ stood at this time.

Actor
The ashes of Laurence Olivier, Baron Olivier of Brighton, the greatest actor of his generation, are buried in the south transept of Westminster Abbey.

Coote Manningham
Soldier
In the west aisle of the north transept is a white marble memorial to Major General Coote Manningham. This is by sculptor John Bacon junior.

John Ernest Grabe
John Ernest Grabe, biblical scholar, has a monument in the south transept. On the west wall, it shows his figure dressed in gown and bands.
