Abbey names new tower
Monday, 16th April 2018
The Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr John Hall, announced today that in recognition of the exceptional generosity of The Garfield Weston Foundation towards the funding of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries, the access tower to the Galleries has been named The Weston Tower.

Abbey opens to visitors after longest closure since 1953 Coronation
Tuesday, 7th July 2020
Visitors will be welcomed back to Westminster Abbey on 11th July, after closure due to the coronavirus pandemic – the longest period of time it has been closed to visitors since the coronation.

The Reverend Jane Sinclair appointed Rector of St Margaret's Church

It is announced that the Reverend Jane Sinclair, Canon of Westminster, is to take on the responsibility of the Rector of St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey, in succession to the Venerable Andrew Tremlett, with effect from 1st September 2016, following his installation as Dean of Durham in the summer.
