Sir Henry (Brodribb) Irving
Actor
The ashes of Sir Henry Irving, actor, lie in Poets' Corner. John Henry Brodribb (1838-1905) assumed the surname of Irving by royal licence in 1889.

Edward succeeded his father when he was just 9 years old and was crowned in the Abbey on 20th February 1547. He died in 1553.

Nicholas Leke, 2nd Earl of Scarsdale and his son Robert are buried in the vault of Baron Hunsdon in St John the Baptist's chapel.

Members of the Birkhead family are buried in the cloisters but the exact location is unknown and there are no gravestones or memorial for them.

Thomas Gayfere, mason, is buried in the west cloister of Westminster Abbey, together with his wife Frances and daughter. The gravestone was re-cut in 1996.

Henry was born in April 1366 and was crowned on 13th October 1399. He died in a room at Westminster Abbey called the Jerusalem Chamber.

Soldier
Colin Campbell, Lord Clyde, the famous soldier, is buried in the centre aisle of the nave of Westminster Abbey. His gravestone is of red marble.

Soldier
In the nave are two monuments to Ann and Carola, wives of mathematician Sir Samuel Morland. Inscriptions are in English, Hebrew, Greek and Geez.
