Salwey was buried in the north ambulatory of Westminster Abbey in 1652. But his body was exhumed, with other followers of Oliver Cromwell, in 1661.

Humphrey Mackworth, a colonel in Cromwell's Parliamentary army, was buried in a vault in Henry VII's chapel in Westminster Abbey but later exhumed.
