  The Very Reverend Dr John Hall has retired after 13 years as Dean of Westminster. He presided at a valedictory Eucharist on Friday 1st November.

• Sir Frank Lockwood

  Politician and Lawyer

  In the south aisle of St Margaret's church Westminster is a memorial brass to Sir Frank Lockwood, lawyer and politician. This was erected in 1899.

• Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë

  Poet and Novelist

  Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë are commemorated in Poets' Corner in Westminster Abbey. Their stone tablet of Huddlestone stone was given by the Brontë Society.

• Richard II and Anne of Bohemia

  Richard was crowned in Westminster Abbey on 16th July 1377 aged 10. He married Anne of Bohemia in January 1382 and both are buried in the Abbey. His portrait hangs in the nave.

• John Hall installed as new Dean of Westminster

  In a ceremony which drew on the historic origins of the post, he became responsible for day-to-day management and worship at Westminster Abbey, one of the best-known churches in the world.

• Anne Neville, wife of Richard III

  Anne was crowned queen on 6th July 1483. She died in 1485 and is buried on the southern side of Westminster Abbey's High Altar.

• Anne Radcliffe

  Anne Radcliffe (or Ratcliffe), wife of Sir George Radcliffe, lawyer and politician of Thomhill, Yorkshire, was buried in the north choir aisle of Westminster Abbey.

  On the wall of the fourth bay of the north cloister is a small tablet to Anne Gawen and her parents Isaac and Frances Bush.

• Anne Incledon

  In St Margaret's church’s south aisle is a marble cartouche to Anne Incledon, wife of John. Anne's father John Wynyard is buried in the Abbey.

• Anne Wemyss

  Anne Wemyss (or Wemis) was buried in the east cloister. A small oval white marble tablet was erected for her in the south choir aisle.

• Anne Bracegirdle

  Actor

  Anne Bracegirdle, actress and singer, is buried in the east cloister of Westminster Abbey. She started performing in 1688 and retired in 1707.

• Queen Anne

  Anne was crowned in the Abbey on 23rd April 1702. She is buried with her husband Prince George of Denmark in a vault in the Lady Chapel.

• Anne Kirton

  An alabaster and black marble monument to Anne Kirton in St Andrew's chapel has been moved from its original position and is now rather obscured.

• Charles Hall

  Priest/Minister

  In the north cloister is the grave of the Reverend Charles Hall. From 1761 he was Dean of Bocking in Essex.
