Sir (Arthur) Eric Drake's coat of arms is in the west window of the Lady Chapel. He was a trustee of the Westminster Abbey Trust, which raised millions for the restoration of the Abbey between 1973-1995.

In the Dark Cloister area is the grave of Sarah Thorpe. Only the words "THORPE" and the date 1776 can now be read.

Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II's coronation was held at Westminster Abbey on 2nd June 1953. Her wedding to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, took place in 1947. Her funeral was held on 19th September 2022.

In the north transept is a memorial to philanthropist Jonas Hanway. This shows Britannia distributing clothing to boys destined for service at sea.

Playwright and Statesman
Richard Brinsley Sheridan, statesman, dramatist and wit, was buried in Poets’ Corner. The inscription on his gravestone was re-cut in 1956 but is now faint.

Richmond Webb and his wife are buried in the east cloister. The tablet, over the door into the Pyx Chamber, has now lost its inscription.

John Rice, sometime organist of Trinity Church, New York, USA, was buried with his father in the south cloister on 24 March 1808, aged 84.

In the north cloister of Westminster Abbey is a marble wall tablet to Elizabeth Palmer, her grand daughter Frances and grandson Mathew Johnson.
