I was interested to hear recently from a distinguished professor of liturgics in the United States that he considers Charles Gore's book, The Body of Christ, to be a classical and enduring exposition of the Eucharist and assigns it to be read by his students.

In the south aisle of the nave is a monument to Katherine Bovey, philanthropist. The white and coloured marble memorial shows a coat of arms.

In the chapel of St Benedict is a monument to Welshman Gabriel Goodman, Dean of Westminster 1561-1601. It consists of a bearded figure in Doctor's robes.

William Pulteney, Earl of Bath, is buried in the Islip chapel with his wife and three children and his brother. A new vault was made.

James Turle was Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey from 1831-1882. He has a memorial tablet in the cloisters and a memorial window in the Abbey but is not buried here.

The Reverend Frederic William Farrar and his son Cyril Lytton Farrar have memorials in St Margaret's church Westminster. Frederic was Rector at the church from 1876.
