Amir of Qatar visits Westminster Abbey

The Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, accompanied by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, visited Westminster Abbey on Tuesday 3rd December as part of their State Visit to the United Kingdom.
They were welcomed to the Abbey by the Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle, who then escorted them on a short tour. During the tour His Highness was shown the High Altar, Henry VII’s Lady Chapel which is also the Chapel of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries.
The Dean presented the Amir with a bound volume of A World of Worship, a collection of illustrations from its 14th century illuminated manuscript, the Litlyngton Missal. Following the tour, the Amir signed the Abbey's Distinguished Visitors' Book.
