Zouch Allen

Zouch Allen, surgeon of the parish of St Martin in the Fields in London, was buried in the north ambulatory of Westminster Abbey on 28th December 1620 but he has no monument or marker. He was a son of David Allen, a surgeon of Chesterfield in Derbyshire, and his wife Anne. Zouch was born in the town in 1586 and his wife Sarah was a niece of the famous antiquary Robert Ryece. They had a son Zouch and daughter Sarah.
