William Seymour
The Hon. Lt. General William Seymour was buried in the middle aisle of the nave of Westminster Abbey on 5th March 1728. He has no monument or grave inscription. He was the second son of Sir Edward Seymour, 4th Baronet of Berry Pomeroy in Devon and his first wife Margaret (Wale). He was baptised at St Peter le Poor church in London on 8th February 1665.
At the siege of Namur in 1695 he commanded a regiment of foot, with great distinction, and was made a Lt. General in 1707. He appears to have died unmarried.
