Sir Edward Sutton
Sir Edward Sutton was buried in Westminster Abbey on 1st August 1695 but the exact location is not known and he has no monument.
He was knighted by Charles II in 1660 and was Gentleman Usher of the Privy Chamber to the king. Newspapers of the day say he was nearly 100 years old at his death.
His wife was Anne daughter of Sir John Byron (and widow of Sir Thomas Lucas). His next of kin was Ignatius Berford and son in law Robert Lucas.
