Robert Marsh

Robert Marsh was Receiver General of Westminster Abbey and he was buried in the north cloister. His gravestone reads: 

In memory of Robert Marsh, Esq. Receiver General to this Collegiate Church. Buried here after 21 years faithful service. Died June 15th 1865 aged 66. In singleness of heart, fearing God. Coloss. III. 22. The memory of the just is blessed. Prov. X. 7.

He was appointed joint Receiver with J.H. Gell in 1854 and was in sole office from 1856. His wife was Louisa and they had a house in Little Cloister in the Abbey precincts. He left an estate at Bures St Mary in Essex.
