Elizabeth Hollingworth
In the area called the Dark Cloister at Westminster Abbey, leading to the Little Cloister, is a wall tablet to Elizabeth Hollingworth, of Princes Court, Westminster. She was actually buried in the nearby east cloister. The inscription reads:
Near this place are deposited the remains of Elizabeth Hollingworth, relict [widow] of William Hollingworth Esqr. late of Barton Mere in the county of Suffolk. She died June 20th 1785 aged 60
She had a sister called Mary, who was the wife of Reverend James Evans. Her daughter Elizabeth married Thomas Quayle. Money in her will was left also to Lt. John Quayle and Elizabeth, children of John Quayle, and to her grandson William Hollingworth Quayle.
