Ann Ferrers
Ann Ferrers, wife of John Ferrers of Tamworth Castle in Warwickshire, was buried in St Paul's chapel in Westminster Abbey on 5th May 1715 but she has no gravestone or monument. She was a daughter of Sir Dudley Carleton, one time His Majesty's resident in Holland and afterwards Clerk of the Council in Ordinary (he was buried at St James, Clerkenwell in 1654) and his first wife. Ann married John at St Bartholomew the Less church in London in 1649. John was the only son of Sir Humphrey Ferrers and his wife Anne (Pakington) and he died in 1680. She died aged 90 and her will was proved by her daughter Dorothy, Countess Dowager of Arran. She had directed to be buried near her great uncle Dudley Carleton, Viscount Dorchester in St Paul's chapel.
