Adrian Drift
Adrian Drift was buried near the grave of poet Matthew Prior in the south transept of Westminster Abbey. But he has no monument or gravestone. He was buried on 5th March 1737 aged 62 and unmarried. He was the youngest son of Matthew Drift, tailor of Covent Garden and his wife Catherine. When Prior was abroad Drift acted as his secretary and was a personal friend and one of the poet's executors.
