A Service to Celebrate the Centenary of Lady Margaret School will be held at Westminster Abbey at Noon on Tuesday 17th October 2017.
Lady Margaret School is a Church of England academy for girls aged 11-18 in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The school opened with 86 girls and 11 boys on 19th September 1917, taking its name from Lady Margaret Beaufort (1443 – 1509), the mother of Henry VII.
Today, the school has more than 700 pupils on its roll. It welcomes girls of all academic abilities, and is committed to ensuring the school community is one in which every girl can excel.
Attendance at the service will be by invitation.
