We are looking for people willing to offer a minimum of 4 hours per week to assist in welcoming visitors and helping them get the most out of their time with us. We are also looking for people who would like to work with visiting UK school groups in our brand new Education Centre.

We want enthusiastic and energetic people to join our current team of volunteers. If you would like to become part of this team we would very much like to hear from you.

Why volunteer?

You may wish to serve Westminster Abbey as an extension of your faith.

You may have a special appreciation and love of the building, its history and architecture.

You may enjoy assisting thousands of people every day that you are here.

You may wish to become part of the wider Abbey community and make new friends.

You may wish to gain work experience or build up your CV by volunteering for the Abbey.

Whatever your reason you can find your own reward through volunteering at Westminster Abbey and through becoming one of our respected Green Gowns.

The application process will almost certainly attract more interest than we can possibly accommodate so your patience and understanding is appreciated. We will only be able to communicate with those selected to attend the open day however all applications will be held on file and considered again in the future.

For further information, or if you have problems downloading the application form, please contact: volunteers@westminster-abbey.org or telephone the HR department on 020 7654 4967.
