This event is part of an exclusive programme of talks, focusing on notable people buried in the Abbey, for members of the Westminster Abbey Association.

Michael Slater, MBE, Emeritus Professor of Victorian Literature at Birkbeck University College, University of London, will be joining us to talk about his most recent book on, 'Charles Dickens: an Attempt on his Life'. Professor Slater is a Past President of the Dickens Fellowship and the Dickens Society of America, and has written extensively on Dickens' life and work.

In addition to the talk, tickets holders to this event can take a private tour of the Abbey and attend a wine reception with the speaker.


Tickets are £25 (plus a £1.87 booking fee per ticket) and are only available to members of the Westminster Abbey Association and their guests.
