Location - College Garden
Abbey Insiders is part of the Association events programme, which gives Members the opportunity to experience the more hidden aspects of the Abbey.
Join Jan Pancheri on a tour of the Westminster Abbey Gardens to find out about its history from its time when it was cultivated by Benedictine monks to how it is used now. Jan came to work in the garden in 1999 and became Head Gardener in 2002. Since then she has researched the history of the gardens and has always tried to plant according to what seemed to fit here. This has included fruit trees, wild flowers, herbal plants and even vegetables. Her book, The Gardens of Westminster Abbey, has just been released and is available to purchase from the Abbey Shop.
This event has now sold out but we are operating a waiting list.
Tickets and waiting list places are free and are only available to members of the Westminster Abbey Association.
