Westminster Abbey employs a number of staff in a wide variety of jobs from traditional building and allied trades in the Clerk of Works department, through a small office staff to red-gowned marshals on the floor of the Abbey itself. In all departments the emphasis is on teamwork and respect for a working church in a magnificent historic building.
There are vacancies from time to time and for information about paid staff posts at Westminster Abbey, please contact applications@westminster-abbey.org

for Volunteers
The Dean
and Chapter of Westminster Abbey is seeking to recruit volunteers to
assist in the welcome of visitors.
We have a unique place in the
life of the Church and the Nation and over 1,000,000 visitors a year
from all over the world; volunteers have the opportunity to engage with
people of all ages, nationalities and cultures.
With our round of daily worship
within a breath-taking building we offer the opportunity to people with
an interest in our Christian heritage, architecture and history to share
their enthusiasm with those who come here as pilgrims and visitors.
We are flexible in our use
of volunteers so the amount of time you spend here may vary according
to individual availability. Introductory and
on-going training will be provided
alongside our paid staff.
